Ocean Explorers is managed by Captain Henry Tomingas who has been involved in major research projects since
1964 and pioneering water way expeditions since 1962.
Henry Tomingas has a degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of Wyoming with minors in Zoology, Geology
and Graduate work in Law.
Captain Tomingas has extensive experience in marine operations and vessel support services such as helicopter and
Submersibles in arctic conditions and has worked in or managed numerous research projects. Dive operations in hazardous
waters, lost aircraft search and resuce, oil spill containment, underwater cable surveys, wildlife research, tidal
studies have been safely and efficiently mounted by Captain Tomingas at the helm of Ocean Explorers.
Tomingas has run a successful commercial fishing operation in Alaska for many years.
Henry Tomingas holds a USCG Masters license.
